The REACH Communications Center provides 24-hour coordination of patient referral and transportation services, including air and ground ambulance dispatch. Our staff of highly-trained Communication Specialists work together in teams of three or four to expedite the coordination of each critical patient’s transport and referral needs. We are dedicated to serving the needs of physicians, nurses, and paramedics throughout the Western U.S., we are focused on providing the best in customer service and support.
A Communication Center shift lead explains, “As Communication Specialists, we wear a lot of different hats: dispatching crews to calls, taking in all the customers calling from doctors, hospitals, and 911 calls. REACH is dedicated to serving the needs of physicians, nurses, and paramedics throughout the Western U.S. We’re a transfer center, as well, and we take calls from the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland when their doctors need help facilitating a transport.”
As a Communication Specialist, you will work with state-of-the-art local and wide area communications equipment, and specialized tools including CADs (Computer Aided Dispatch), Sky Web for tracking aircraft, topographic software for scene calls and wave radio.
