Dr. Hanson comes to REACH from Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland, where he has worked as the Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit since 2001. Prior to working at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland, Dr. Hanson was a clinical professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco instructing courses in Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Dr. Hanson received his BA in biology at the University of California at Berkeley, his M.D. at Kansas University Medical Center, and did his pediatric internship at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Since 1984 he has worked at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland in Oakland, California in various Pediatric Intensive Care positions.
